Graba, noche y día grillos y canarios
Martillos, turbinas ladridos, chubascos

Madre, amigo, hermano y luz alumbrando

Registra giorno e notte, i grilli, e canarini,
Martelli, turbine, latrati, acquazzoni

Spiagge e deserti, montagne e pianure

Aprendimos a quererte
desde la historica altura
donde el sol de tu bravura
le puso cerco a la muerte.

Aqui se queda la clara,
la entrañable transparencia
de tu querida presencia,
comandante Che Guevara.

Tu mano gloriosa y fuerte
sobre la historia dispara,
cuando todo Santa Clara
se despierta para verte.

Aqui …

Vienes quemando la brisa
con soles de primavera
para plantar la bandera
con la luz de tu sonrisa.

Aqui …

Tu amor revolucionario
te conduce a nueva empresa,
donde esperan la firmeza
de tu brazo libertario.

Aqui …

Seguiremos adelante
como junto a ti seguimos
y con Fidel te decimos:
“Hasta siempre, Comandante!”

Aqui …

PER SEMPRE

Abbiamo imparato ad amarti
sulla storica altura
dove il sole del tuo coraggio
ha posto un confine alla morte.

Qui rimane la chiara,
penetrante trasparenza
della tua cara presenza,
Comandante Che Guevara.

La tua mano gloriosa e forte
spara sulla storia
quando tutta Santa Clara
si sveglia per vederti.

Qui rimane la chiara …

Vieni bruciando la nebbia
come un sole di primavera,
per piantare la bandiera
con la luce del tuo sorriso.

Qui rimane la chiara …

Il tuo amore rivoluzionario
ti spinge ora a una nuova impresa
dove aspettano la fermezza
del tuo braccio liberatore.

Qui rimane la chiara …

Continueremo ad andare avanti
come fossimo insieme a te
e con Fidel ti diciamo:
Per sempre, Comandante!

Qui rimane la chiara …

FOR HIND RAJAB – NIGHTBIRD

It was one day in Tel al-Hawa
A Palestinian baby child
Just five years to live in Gaza
She didn’t want that day to die

Those two rescueres of the Red Moon
Got so close to her car
They could feel she was there still alive
She was struggling for her life

See the nightbird softly fly
Why does she fly alone?
Is the moonlight just a flame for her memory?
Now she’s gone

There’s a car now in a ghost town
Full of bullets, full of blood
This little girl is there alone at five
Desperately asking not to die

In that cold lonely January
A killer soldier shot his gun
A storm of fire hit the poor car
And Hind Rajab couldn’t survive

See the nightbird softly fly
Why does she fly alone?
Is the moonlight just a flame for her memory?
Now she’s gone

PER HIND RAJAB – UCCELLO NOTTURNO

Era un giorno a Tel al-Hawa
Una bambina palestinese
Solo cinque anni da vivere a Gaza
Non voleva che quel giorno morisse

Quei due soccorritori della Mezzaluna Rossa
Si avvicinarono tanto alla sua auto
Sentivano che lei era ancora viva
Lottava per la sua vita

Guarda l’uccello notturno volare piano

In quel freddo gennaio solitario

Guarda l’uccello notturno volare piano

VOLUNTEERS

Look what’s happening out in the streets
Got a revolution, Got to revolution
Hey I’m dancing down the streets
Got a revolution, Got to revolution
Ain’t it amazing all the people I meet
Got a revolution, Got to revolution

One generation got old
One generation got soul
This generation got no destination to hold
Pick up the cry

Hey now it’s time for you and me
Got a revolution, Got to revolution
Come on now we’re marching to the sea
Got a revolution, Got to revolution
Who will take it from you
We will and who are we
We are volunteers of America

VOLONTARI

C’è la rivoluzione, vai alla rivoluzione
Sto ballando nelle strade

Siamo i volontari d’America
Siamo i volontari d’America

TALKIN’ BOUT A REVOLUTION

Don’t you know
They’re talking about a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper
Don’t you know
Talking about a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper

While they’re standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sittin’ around waiting for a promotion

Don’t you know
Talking bout a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper

Poor people gonna rise up
And get their share
Poor people gonna rise up
And take what’s theirs

Don’t you know you better
Run, run, run, run, run, run
Oh, I said you better
Run, run, run, run, run, run
Run, run, run, run, run, run

‘Cause finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ about a revolution

PARLANDO DI UNA RIVOLUZIONE

Non lo sai
Stanno parlando di una Rivoluzione
Sembra un sussurro
Non lo sai
Stanno parlando di una Rivoluzione
Sembra un sussurro

Mentre fanno la coda per il sussidio
Piangendo alla porta degli eserciti della salvezza
Sprecando tempo agli uffici di collocamento
Aspettando una promozione

Non lo sai
Stanno parlando di una Rivoluzione
Sembra un sussurro

La povera gente si ribellerà
E si prenderà la sua parte
La povera gente si ribellerà
E si prenderà ciò che le appartiene

Non lo sai
faresti meglio a correre, correre, correre
Ho detto che dovresti correre, correre, correre

Finalmente la situazione si capovolgerà
Parlando di Rivoluzione

THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York island,
From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters;
This land was made for you and me.

As I was walking that ribbon of highway
I saw above me that endless skyway;
I saw below me that golden valley;
This land was made for you and me.

I’ve roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
And all around me a voice was sounding;
This land was made for you and me.

When the sun came shining, and I was strolling,
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,
As the fog was lifting a voice was chanting:
This land was made for you and me.

In the squares of the city, In the shadow of a steeple
By the relief office, I’d seen my people.
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking,
Is this land made for you and me.

As I went walking, I saw a sign there
And on the sign there, It said, “No trepassing”
But on the other side, It didn’t say nothing.
That side was made for you and me.

dalla California all’isola di New York

Ho girato e vagato e inseguito i miei passi
e tutto intorno a me una voce risuonava

potevo sentirlo dentro di me e vederlo tutto intorno a me

Mentre stavano lì affamati, io stavo lì a chiedermi:

DEPORTEES

The crops are all in and the peaches are rott’ning,
The oranges piled in their creosote dumps;
They’re flying ‘em back to the Mexican border
To pay all their money to wade back again

My father’s own father, he waded that river,
They took all the money he made in his life;
My brothers and sisters come working the fruit trees,
And they rode the truck till they took down and died.

Goodbye to my Juan, goodbye, Rosalita,
Adios mis amigos, Jesus y Maria;
You won’t have your names when you ride the big airplane,
All they will call you will be “deportees”

Some of us are illegal, and some are not wanted,
Our work contract’s out and we have to move on;
Six hundred miles to that Mexican border,
They chase us like outlaws, like rustlers, like thieves.

We died in your hills, we died in your deserts,
We died in your valleys and died on your plains.
We died ‘neath your trees and we died in your bushes,
Both sides of the river, we died just the same.

Goodbye to my Juan, goodbye, Rosalita,
Adios mis amigos, Jesus y Maria;
You won’t have your names when you ride the big airplane,
All they will call you will be “deportees”

The sky plane caught fire over Los Gatos Canyon,
A fireball of lightning, and shook all our hills,
Who are all these friends, all scattered like dry leaves?
The radio says, “They are just deportees”

Is this the best way we can grow our big orchards?
Is this the best way we can grow our good fruit?
To fall like dry leaves to rot on my topsoil
And be called by no name except “deportees”?

Goodbye to my Juan, goodbye, Rosalita,
Adios mis amigos, Jesus y Maria;
You won’t have your names when you ride the big airplane,
All they will call you will be “deportees”.

DEPORTATI

le arance sono ammassate nelle discariche di creosoto;

gli portarono via tutto il denaro che aveva guadagnato in vita;

Addio mio Juan, addio Rosalita,
addio amici miei, Gesù e Maria;

il nostro contratto di lavoro è finito e dobbiamo andare avanti;
seicento miglia fino a quel confine messicano,
ci inseguono come fuorilegge, come ladri di bestiame, come criminali.

Siamo morti sulle vostre colline, siamo morti nei vostri deserti,
siamo morti nelle vostre valli e siamo morti nelle vostre pianure.

Addio mio Juan, addio Rosalita,
addio amici miei, Gesù e Maria;

Addio mio Juan, addio Rosalita,
addio amici miei, Gesù e Maria;

ATTICA BLUES

I got the feeling that’s something’s goin’ wrong
And I’m worried bout the human soul
I’ve got a feeling

If I could have had the chance to make the decision
Every man could walk this earth on equal condition
Every child could do more than just dream of a star
Mothers, sons, and dads would see that I put an end to war

Only with the natural forces and a world that’s getting old
Do I worry, yes, I worry, can you dig, about the human soul, yeah
Only with the natural forces and a world that’s getting old
Do I worry, yes, I worry, can you dig, about the human soul, yeah

If I had the chance to make the decision
Every man could walk this earth on equal condition
Every child could do more than just dream of a star
Moms and sons and dads would see that I put—put an end to war

Only with the natural forces and a world that’s getting old
Do I worry, yes, I worry, can you dig, about the human soul, yeah
Only with the natural forces and a world that’s getting old
Do I worry, yes, I worry, can you dig, about the human soul, yeah

Oh, if I would have had the chance to make the decision
Every man could walk this earth on equal condition
Every child would do more than dream of a star
Mothers, sons, and dads would see that I put—put an end to war, yeah

Only with the natural forces and a world that’s getting old
Do I worry, yes, I worry, can you dig, about the human soul, yeah
Only with the natural forces and a world that’s getting old
Do I worry, yes, I worry, can you dig, about the human soul, yeah

If I would have had the chance to make the decision

ATTICA BLUES
